Fabian Garcia
UCLA | CSU Fresno | CSU Los Angeles

Fabian Garcia was born and raised in Dinuba, California.  Both his mother and father migrated to the Central San Joaquin valley in the mid 70's from San Buenaventura, Jalisco, arriving to California through a wide network family and friends.  He is the second of four siblings in his family--he has one
older brother, and two younger sisters, and they have all pursued and
obtained their college degrees.

He has a strong passion for helping his Latino/Chicano/immigrant community.  The most important thing in his life is his family and friends.  He is a firm believer that through hard work anything can be obtained and that all
people, no matter class, race or gender, have an infinite potential in becoming anything they want to be.

He is very tied to his Mexican roots and he retains his culture by visiting his
hometown in Mexico (San Buenaventura) at least once a year.  His future
goals and aspirations are to become a critical film-maker who can continue to support progress among the Latino community (nationally and
internationally) by utilizing media as a communication tool.
