Roberto Carlos Vaca Verduzco was born November 18, 1981 in Zamora, Michoacan, México.  During his early years, he attended grades K-4 in La Plaza del Limón.  At the age of 9, he was sent by his parents Abel and Genoveva Vaca to California to live with his older sister and brothers in order to learn English in order to some day become a working professional.

After graduating from Sanger High School in 1999, he was recruited to attend California State University, Fresno (CSUF).  There he participated as a student-athlete on the men’s cross-country and track and field teams.  He earned a baccalaureate degree in Psychology and a certificate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership through the American Humanics program.

Immediately after his undergraduate degree he began work on his Master’s of Science in Counseling and Student Services with an emphasis in Higher Education.  He is currently employed by Sanger Unified School District and works as a Guidance and Learning Specialist at Sanger High School.
